Lesson script
To find ANY major scale: 1–2 whole · 2–3 whole · 3–4 half · 4–5 whole · 5–6 whole · 6–7 whole · 7–8 half. Build C (all white), then G (you will meet F♯), then F (you will meet B♭). Say “whole/half” as you walk. Done when: you can build G major without looking at a chart.
Instrument paths
- Piano: Include necessary black keys for G and F.
- Strings: Scale tones as slow bows/pizz.
- Percussion: Tap on each scale degree.
Learning modes
- Solo child: Build C, G, F alone.
- Child + parent: Parent checks only 3–4 and 7–8 half steps.
- Family: One builds; others sing the scale.
