Lesson script
Open the “Playing With…” pages. Pick two chord colors today (for example C and Am). Play the patterns slowly. Say line/space or note names if the page asks. This is fluency, not performance pressure. Done when: two chord-color pages feel familiar under the fingers.
Instrument paths
- Piano: Book patterns for chosen chords.
- Strings: Drone the chord root.
- Percussion: Soft groove only if it helps steady time.
Learning modes
- Solo child: Child chooses the two colors.
- Child + parent: Parent keeps tempo with a finger on the page edge.
- Family: Family assigns colors and trades pages.
